ActiveX Controls Security Update

Through a security audit, we have been advised of a security vulnerability with certain older versions of our software. The vulnerability happens when SupportSoft software is used to fix a problem on an end-user's computer. During the course of resolving a technical problem, controls are installed on the end-user's PC. These controls can, in some limited instances, enable a hacker/attacker to exploit a user's system.

SupportSoft believes that the possibility of a vulnerable system being accessed is small, and we are not aware that any vulnerable system has been exploited. Nonetheless, we take any security vulnerability extremely seriously and have been working with our Corporate customers to ensure that they have updates to our software which resolve these issues. With the public disclosure of this vulnerability by various security organizations, we felt it was important to make available updates for those controls which were affected. Technical Support for Corporate Customers

SupportSoft provides Technical Support for its corporate customers via the phone and through our secure support portal called Expert Exchange.
